Figma Annotation Kit

2 girls working together

In Visma, like many other major software companies, we have build an accessibility annotation kit. The purpose is to make sure that designers have an easy way to hand over accessibility specifications such as heading structure, tab order, accessibility labels. The kit is flexible to include other annotations like component types, styles from design systems or other freehand notes.

How to use the annotation kit

If you're using Figma and joined the VUD Web Application Workspace, you can easily access the Annotation Kit in any new design file.

However, if you've customized your account settings and don't see the Annotation Kit, you can enable it by following these steps:

  1. Go to your account settings
  2. Scroll down to the Library section
  3. Click on "Enable libraries"
  4. Navigate to the "Your teams" tab
  5. Switch on the "Annotation Kit" under VUD Web Application

If you have any questions to the annotation kit, contact accessibility@visma.com
